Missed the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow! This rainbow print (I couldn't tell if it was original or repro) was $5. Had a very dinky matte and frame. I debated getting it but passed. Buyers remorse. If anyone has info on it let me know.

Moms Finds - Denmark & Italy
Haven't been doing a great job at keeping up with my blog. Mom gave me a large 80s rainbow heart mug. A mod super red cheese grater from Italy-love the color. And a Danish teak and glass server.

Thrift - Norway Troll
Hand-carved Norway Troll by Anton Sveen. A vintage baby card. Little Golden Book by Richard Scarry. Couple of faded tablecloths. Fransician Madeira bowls for me. And a Mount Vernon tea towel for Mom's friend. All from my fave thrift store-no luck at the others.

Garden
Shapoopy had a good harvest from the garden! Rainbow Swiss Chard, mixed lettuces, beet tops, spinach, fennel or something, onions and radishes.

Estate - German Rabbit
Went to a local estate sale in my neighborhood. Had to stand in two lines just to get in the house. Not much in the house and prices were high. Found an un-used Apple Strudel tea towel by Kolf, Germany. Another tin and a German Rabbit ornament with a paper label Konditorei Hammel Schwabisch Hall. The little thermometer dangle for the sis. The thrift store was a bust.

Thrift - Bovano Enamel
Dang, went back for the Raymond Loewy tea cups and they weren't there, pooh! Picked up a Bovano enameled copper ashtray in excellent condition.

Thrift Part I - Another Scale & Another Mug
At my fave thrift found The Bellevue tin, made in England. Another corked jar. A very cool large Terraillon scale, made in France. Huge Schmidt chest tin, made in Germany. A Holly Hobby-esque mug. Older Scottish Patterson's shortbread tin back before Britain went metric (oops, the thrift store charged me 10x the price)
A Pennsylvania Dutch style tablecloth and a Vera tablecloth.
Thrift Part II - Artemide Globes
My old biddie thrift was 1/2 off today and it was crazy crowded at 10:30 in the morning! Before even walking through the doors I glanced in the Free Pile and what did I see? Two minimalist Dioscuri hand-blown & acid-etched glass globes. These lovelies were designed in 2000 by Michele De Lucchi & made in Italy by Artemide. They need some cleaning but hopefully, Shapoopy can replace our cheapo Home Depot bug-catcher stairwell lights with these beauts.
Also picked up a pair yellow gooseberry Pyrex bowls SOLD (sigh, I shouldn't buy Pyrex anymore unless its one of the few desirable patterns or in mint condition) Some Swedish style fabric tape. A tiny little Anni 01 Iittala frosted vase designed by Jorma Vennola SOLD. Prob. dates 1970-74 (triangle label was used until 1974)
Thomas(Rosenthal) Germany white tea pot. Continental China was originally designed by Raymond Loewy in 1951 for Rosenthal SOLD. I suspect this is a later production. The lady said they had the tea cups still in the back, hopefully,
Above is a Swedish batik Skord (Harvest) signed Ilse (Swedish textile artist and ceramicist Ilse Roempke aka Ilse Claeson. Besides being known for her textiles, she was also a ceramist at Rörstrand between 1926 and 1938) and an Egyptian batik signed A. Akar. Still need to see if some information can be found on these two. Mom kindly offered to wash these guys for me too.
And how could I resist the large Vernor Panton-esque Op-Art fabric frame. Very 70s. Now to convince Shapoopy to hang it above the orange velvet sofa.

Thrift & Rummage: Text Lovers Jar
Went down the street to a Synagogue rummage sale this morning with high hopes. Bleh, rubbish sale. My neighborhood just doesn't have money or old people. As I like to say-everyone buys a big house to fill with IKEA. Funny cause everyone thinks they are rich/well-off but I don't think rich people fill their house with Target and discount furniture. Am I being snarky, cause I get annoyed with people who lease their beamers and rent? Well, that was off topic.
I passed on a Brutalist Wainberg Menorah for $10 too much that had a wonky arm. The only thing I found at the empty rummage sale was this Jalapeno text jar.
A visit to GWill the previous day yielded 4 Dansk candleholders SOLD (passed on one chipped) and a lone Blenko bookend SOLD.
