Flavor Flav
I always tell my hubs, "If we had been married in Sri Lanka our wedding cake would have been a frosted wall clock!"
Pervert Alert! Men's Fantasy Auction
People should really consider how they word things. It was for tools...the hardware type...for fixing things...like cars.

Thrift - Just Cause You Pile A Bunch Of Crap Together With A Glue Gun Does Not Make You An Artist
Thought I had a dentist appointment this morning so I rushed through the thrift without checking the price tags on anything-oops! I also went an hour and a half after opening probably to late but I was still surprised to find these items. This is my third Kaiser Germany white bisque vase by Michaela Frey SOLD. This company did produce some really nice Op-Art/modernist vases I've just never seen them in the States perhaps cause we prefer item decorated with flowers and glitter.
Here is a the disaster I was referring to in the title - where apparently taking a pair of WEHA-Kunst figures and err ... artistically glue gunning em to the top of a cheap plastic music box allows you to put a label on it saying "Designed by Francine" SOLD.
You can see that my mug addiction is still healthy, at first I thought the frog was a Taylor & Ng but I still like it SOLD. The yellow gunk washed off after a good soak. A ladybug mug. My other addiction and yes, I'm rolling my eyes, is a English sugar tin. A small chickadee copper enamel plate by popular nature artist Norman Brumm of Michigan unfortunately with 2 small chips SOLD.
More tins in the bottom photo. A Laurel Burch mug SOLD. Couroc owl tray and a log nut bowl.
Oh before I forget someone at the thrift store stopped me and asked if I wrote a blog. It was a very weird sensation and I haven't a clue how she recognized me? But it was nice to meet Mischa "Hi" and I'm thrilled that someone actually reads my blog.

Thrift - Holy Cow I Found iittala!
Imagine my surprise to find iittala at GWill, a pair of stacking spruce tree Kuusi votives designed by Jorma Vennola from 1983-92. A 1980s cloud & balloons money bank complete with key by Waechtersbach Germany (they are best known for their hot cinnamon red glazed mugs) and a Swedish cheese slicer.
At my fave thrift picked up a Dansk decanter SOLD, a pair of Copco spice racks (these sell but they are hell to clean, heavy to ship and hard to pack) SOLD. 1985 Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Herbal Tea mug illustrated by Beth Underwood SOLD. And last a vintage cracker tin, I liked the graphics.

Thrift - It's A Mug Kinda Day
Stopped by 10 thrifts today after picking up my monster painting and sideboard (a future post).
Everything was found at one GWill except the Starbucks Pike Place and two brightly illustrated Christmas mugs. It's my first cache of Starbucks mugs (seven in one location). I was surprised no one had snatched them up?
It's been well over a year since I have found a Big Hug Mug SOLD. Pictured is a Disney Park mug, four 1970s Dunoon Scotland fox mugs SOLD and two holiday mugs (forgot the illustrator on these.)
Found my first Kaj Franck decorated pitcher in the "wild" which unfortunately has a new chip on the lip SOLD. Berggren Dala tile which always sell well around Christmas. Six unmarked teak coasters that were spendy so hopefully I can make some money off of them SOLD.
Nothing really vintage but I'm pleased with all the Starbucks mugs.
Below are the things I passed. A pair of paintings by J. Walsh for $299 each! Steve describes my thrifts as having "cajones" I agree with a few other choice words thrown in there. Love red Polish enamelware but at $20 for the lot - it just isn't thrift priced.
Liked the form of the glasses but not crazy about the color, decanter was missing stopper (if anyone recognizes this form please leave a comment).
I'm always surprised that Garfield doesn't sell? It was hard for me to pass the rainbow mugs but one had some scratches to image. Didn't want to pass the Audrey Christie rabbit mug but there where just to many grey scratches. And I just liked the cardinal mug but know nothing about it.

Thrift - Iceland Wool Throw
Finally decided to go thrifting after a short break. My best find by far is the wool Iceland throw found on the way out and most likely a keeper. The tag has been removed but I'm guessing it's a tourist item. Some large Tupperware cups. An unusual round puzzle from 1976. A Penn. Dutch pretzel tin.
And at the old biddy shop found a small Aquarius poster that I couldn't resist SOLD.
Below are items I passed. Love finding Marimekko mugs but sadly the handle was cracked. My thrifts mark anything vintage with a high price tag, see the Eva Zeisel teapot tagged "Rare $25" with a large chip in the lid (
